Pottery by Laura Burch
Laura Burch has been making and selling her porcelain pottery in Central New York for
almost 20 years. It was while attending classes as a child at the Memorial Art Gallery
in Rochester, New York, that she first experienced clay and learned to use the potter's wheel.
Abandoning the medium, she instead opted to study painting and illustration at Syracuse University. It wasn't until many years later, when she found herself having to support 2 young daughters, that she rediscovered her love of clay. Since then she has taught workshops and participated in national exhibitions, while mostly making her living selling her work at craft fairs, galleries, and at Handwork.
