Beadwork by Stephanie Greenwood
I’ve had a fascination with light and color since my childhood. I collected rocks and minerals and gemstones and was captivated by the colorful patterns found in flowers, butterflies and birds. I rediscovered the joy of working with beads during the 4 years I was living and working in Zambia.
I taught beadwork to the young girls at the residential Center where I lived, which we then sold in the local markets. In my work I primarily use transparent glass seed beads and crystals, and off-loom bead weaving.
