When I am in my shop the dimension of time melts away and creative space is afforded me where I am free to follow my inspiration; an inspiration provided me by the material that I am privileged to work with, whose beauty and life can express itself in so many ways.
It brings me endless pleasure to discover new techniques and hone skills that help reveal that beauty. Although I am constantly challenging myself to improve some aspect of my work I don't think I'll ever be more than momentarily satisfied with the items I craft because it's the journey and not the destination that I find most alluring.
I tend toward elegant simplicity; the kind of beauty that slowly infiltrates and meshes with something within ourselves, and offers us tranquility and warmth.
