Blue and Marigold Dotted Earrings

These earrings are created with handmade lampwork glass beads by Julia Bonney. The main bead is aqua qith royal blue and marigold dots. An additional marigold bead sits below. A beautiful and unique addition to anyone's wardrobe!

Julia Bonney has her own glass studio where she make beads from glass rods that come from Italy, Germany, China, and the U.S. Sitting at a torch that's about 3,000 degrees she melts, shapes, and decorates the glass, and then anneals her beads in a kiln overnight to make them strong and stable. She uses her beads to construct jewelry and to create beaded handles for objects such as jam spoons, cheese knives, and coffee scoops. She incorporates sterling silver chain and findings and sometimes semi-precious stones such as citrine, turquoise, lapis, and pyrite.
