Esther Yaloz

Esther creates wildflower inspired silk screened goods, known as PLANETARIUM DESIGNS. She grew up in Israel and was raised in the country near the sea of galilee, from a very young age, she developed a love for wildflowers; in winter they blossom and in summer they disappear. They do not get much attention yet they have always held her fascination. Over the years Esther collected, dried and preserved wildflowers in albums. These albums have become the image bank from which she makes her patterns and designs.

"As a textile designer specializing in silk screen printing, I carried my childhood fascination with wildflowers to botanical images. They have become a central motif in my textile design. I delight in details and textures, and am passionate about printing and creating patterns. I love transforming raw materials into a unique and final product, it’s all part of a magical process; putting the accent on the uniqueness of each and every item. Everything is hand-printed, dyed and sewn in our workshop with great attention to detail. We design our products in small series, just as we prefer to purchase items for ourselves, and everything from materials to the design process is handmade in the USA."
