Warm Colored Floral Banded Bowl

This bowl is decorated in yellow, orange, and red flowers across the bowl's interior. The same beautiful flowers encircle the upper exterior of the bowl. The lower exterior is accented with a unique textured design. This bowl is signed by the artist on the bottom. This bowl is sure to bring a sense of warmth and comfort to your meal! Decorated inside and out and from top to bottom, Colleen�s hand built pottery is inspired by vibrant textile patterns and the unique shapes and textures in vintage glassware. Crafting from custom made plaster press molds and soft clay slabs, she designs unique one-of-a-kind dishes durable enough for everyday use. An opaque layer of porcelain slip creates a blank canvas for layering wax, colored slip and underglazes. The rich brown clay beneath is revealed when she draws the final outlines using a technique known as sgraffito. The resulting item is pure joy, empty or filled.
