From the Finger Lakes Land Trust Website: "The diverse habitats found in the preserve are home to an equally diverse variety of flora and fauna. Some rare species have been identified in the preserve although a thorough inventory has not yet been completed. The preserve provides an exceptional place for bird watching; for example, in May 1995, during a two-hour period, 76 species of birds were counted!"

About the Artist:

Katherine Solomon is a photographer who went to school for, and worked as, a fashion and portrait photographer in NYC, but has been doing animal portraits since high school. After moving to a farm in Spencer, NY last year she finally had the opportunity to get back to her passion of animal portraiture. Katherine has always had a connection with animals and aims to capture each of her subjects' individual beauty and personality.
