Opal and Silver Filigree Necklace

This sterling silver necklace was handcrafted by Shirley Woodcock-Kolb in her signature filigree style. The iridescent stone in the center is Australian boulder opal, adding another layer of visual interest to the intricate design. A sturdy cable chain with circular links complements the pendant to complete this beautiful and elegant necklace.

About the Artist:

Shirley Woodcock-Kolb incorporates fused glass, precious metal clay, stones and porcelain into her fabricated designs, and especially enjoys doing her own lapidary work. Although she have many standard designs, her work is always changing and progressing as she finds herself drawn to new challenges. SHe developed her distinctive filigree technique through experimentation, beginning with a silver baby cup that was given to her and that she recycled into a bracelet. Her silver and gold also comes from a reputable refinery that was formerly located in New York State, and features Harmony recycled materials.
