Botanic Garden

Botanic Garden is part of a series of book sculptures that highlight iconic places in the Ithaca area. This piece features one of the many beautiful gardens in the Ithaca area. This mixed media book diorama is comprised of a several hand-folded upcycled books, a book base, dried flowers, decorative wooden knobs, and a photograph of a local garden. A local Ithaca musician is featured in a photograph as well.

About the Artist:

The altered books Teresa creates are rooted in personal stories of simple moments she has been moved and transformed by. She is deeply inspired by nature and collects many of the mosses, lichen, stones and tree bark she incorporates into her work. The fine details and dimensionality of her book assemblages will draw you into the mystery of her miniature worlds. Book sculptures can also be customized.
