Cellist is a piece that celebrates young musicians and the gift of their performances to their local communities. This mixed media book diorama is comprised of a folded upcycled book, a book base, a wooden window draped in moss and lichen, and a photograph of local Ithaca musician.

About the Artist:

The altered books Teresa creates are rooted in personal stories of simple moments she has been moved and transformed by. She is deeply inspired by nature and collects many of the mosses, lichen, stones and tree bark she incorporates into her work. The fine details and dimensionality of her book assemblages will draw you into the mystery of her miniature worlds. Book sculptures can also be customized.
