Farmers Market is part of a series of book sculptures that highlight iconic places in the Ithaca area. This piece features the popular Ithaca Farmers Market. This mixed media book diorama is comprised of a variety of folded and hand-cut upcycled books, a book base, cottonwood branches,and tree bark with lichen and mosses. The photographs are of local farmers, booth owners, and Farmers Market shoppers.

About the Artist:

The altered books Teresa creates are rooted in personal stories of simple moments she has been moved and transformed by. She is deeply inspired by nature and collects many of the mosses, lichen, stones and tree bark she incorporates into her work. The fine details and dimensionality of her book assemblages will draw you into the mystery of her miniature worlds. Book sculptures can also be customized.
