Handmade brass hairpin by Laurel O'Brien. Ideal for medium to long length, thin to thick hair styles. This versatile hairpin helps to protect hair from breakage. Simply twist the full length of your hair, form into a bun against the top or back of your head. Weave the hair pin three times, up and down from your scalp through the bun and back into your hair for a secure and elegant hold.

About the Artist:

Laurel is a professional jeweler and metal-smith. She grew up in the Finger Lakes area and returned to live in Ithaca after graduating with a BFA in Fine Art from SUNY New Paltz. Drawing, sculpture and other art mediums have always interested her and she likes to incorporate these in jewelry when she can. You can see this in her hand drawn and sawn out designs. She also use surface textures and hand forming to create sculptural elements in many pieces.

Product Details:

• Hairpin measures 5.25" in length, 1.25" wide. Material is hand hammered brass. Will tarnish overtime, can be easily polished with a jewelry cloth.
