Moth-ers are conjured by staring meditatively, intently at the night Leidoptera who left their Earthly casings before returning to the Moon. The proof of their existence was recorded in Oil Portraits. The original oil paintings were recreated as Giclees, archival pigment dyed prints on canvas. These canvas prints have captures the essence and luminosity of the original oil paintings. They were created for all of us to enjoy the night and marvel at the small winged creatures around us.
About the Artist:
The images that Elizabeth creates come from her imagination. They are drawn on copper or zinc plates and etched in acid. The plates are rubbed with oil based inks and hand-printed. She writes stories and poems and illuminates them, and sometimes she illustrates stories that she hasn't even written yet!
